This is the end….. for this account. At the end of¬† this week Mr Lyford will delete it, and all you will be able to see will be the already-published posts. So this is my last post, a kind of tribute this blog, Yr6, and this school. So here they are – my memories

Laughing in the sun

Playing with friends

Trying to do algebra

New teachers

Different friends

Leftover lemon juice

Hair dye

Peppermint creams

Homework by the tonne-

Measurements, tonne is the new ton!

Books I’ve never read before

Songs I’ve never known

Camp and mud

My (slightly) famous  water bottle

Small kids

Dotty paintings

These are my memories. I hope you like them.

Well it might not really be GOOD bye but it is kind of is because:

YES I ‘m leaving although ,that will be sad, I’m¬†starting¬† something new which will be great fun;meeting new teachers and friends, ¬†new subjects AND I’ll have to find my way around a massive new school.¬† So everything will be new, new,¬†new ¬†which could be a challenge. While I’ve been here I’ve had a great time in all of our new classrooms and teachers, I was fine here so who says I won’t be fine in secondary school.

Ok so this week¬†(and two days)is a very extremely depressing week (and two days). You see ,this is my last ever post. Ever. In the history of my blogging journey.¬† By the end of this week (and two days)I will probably have shed enough tears to fill the whole sea! But, you haven’t seen the last of me! I will continue to comment on people’s posts even if I can’t post. And, I have plans to become an author (take a look at my Mia and Mya stories/posts on the blog, for a taste of my writing) so if you ever see a book with Sara Jennifer Jackson on it, then you’ll know it was written by me. Also I have appeared in two books before, in a competition run¬†by young writers. As this is¬†my last post I would like to thank all the teachers, because they have helped ,me become who I am today. Thank you Mrs Whiteway, Mrs Duely, Mr Koroma, Mrs Beeton, Mr Tayldor, and there are too many more to name. Thank you to¬†all the teaching assistants. Thank you Mrs Snow, Mrs Nicklen, Cindy and obviously many more to name. Thank you the dinner ladies and play workers. Thank you Monica, Joanna, Edna, Linn and again, so many more people. And thank you Mr Lyford for being my P.E teacher and also thank you¬†Mr. Lyford for introducing the blog because without him I would not be writing this post.¬†I don’t want to leave this school but I have to, and I guess everyone has to. I will always be a part of this school¬†.In memory of soon to be ex-student of Oxford Road community school…

I will cry so much, its impossible to cry anymore. This was written by (me) Sara Jennifer Elias Jackson.

I am writing this very last post to thank many people. First of all Miss Duley for being a great teacher and helping me throughout the year. All the staff have been really nice at this school. I am very sad to say goodbye to them all. I am scared of beginning my new journey at secondary school but it will never compare to this school as I have the most kindest friends and teachers. I am dreading the last day at Oxford Road Community School as I think I will need more than 100 tissue boxes as had the most amazing time at this school. I will keep my memories cherished. I hope that this school continues to have a fantastic atmosphere as it always has. GOOD LUCK ORCS😢😢😢😢

Taelor crept along the light shy alley way, she could barely see her hands in front of her Рlet alone where she was going.

Darkness engulfed her like a fly in¬†a spider’s web. But nothing got past her. The day before someone had tipped her off on a spooky graveyard, nothing would stop¬†¬†her ¬†wandering through it.¬† As the gates loomed up against the moonlight, the bushes rustled¬†beside her feet, not letting it phase her she continued towards the tall, rusty gate she turned her head and saw it. A grave with her last name on it. It was the ¬†girls name that caught her attention. And the dates, ¬†it was the day she had turned three. Whoever this grave belonged to had been born on¬† exactly the same day as her. ¬†A wild thought ran through her mind, could this girl be related to her.

10 years earlier

“Jai,STOP!”¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†¬†A young child ran out of a house which was¬†set up in perfect party style, it should¬† have been a¬† great day.¬† At that moment a van swung around the corner, the child fell into the road as she did-¬†the van didn’t even try to swerve.¬† In a instant the mother was beside the child. She was dead, her face still in shock.

As everything was cleared away ¬†by authorities, the¬† child’s family stared¬†at the street where it had happened.¬†The mother spoke,

” Come along Taelor”, it was a harsh sentence, like the world would always be cold.

Contains horror…

It was Friday the 13th of August, and the hospital was working busily as usual when a little girl¬† struggled in the hospital with a little pretty doll , a big cut on her stomach. “Please help me,” whispered the little girl trying very hard to breathe. She squeezed her dolly to her chest and a tiny tear ran down her cheek.”Young girl, this hospital is only for the rich and you have no money!” bellowed one of the doctors not paying attention. “This is the only hospital in the city!” she huffed. A doctor near by was watching as she was sent out harshly. He rushed after her and being kind-hearted¬† whispered to her. “I am Doctor Sam Hart and I will help you!” He secretly went in the boiler room and day by day tried to help her. But sadly, Lora died , and Sam in despair left the city. From then on none of the patients survived so the hospital shut down. Then the hospital was changed into a school 84 years later but Lora still hunts till this day……

“I swear I just something coming from the boiler room,” I said as I looked at the old sealed door. “It could have been a rat or something, you know that thing is old,” Mkenna answered and shrugged her shoulders. “You know what, I don’t think anybody has ever been in that room,” said Mellisa and stared at the door in a confused face. “Let’s ask miss Ania, she was here a long time ago,” I suggested and we walked to miss Ania who was looking at her Iphone 11. “Yes?” asked the teacher kindly. Mellisa explained that they were wondering if she knew the last person who went into the boiler room. She looked at us and said, unconvincingly. “Oh, um well.. a few.. I mean lots of years ago when I was in nursery we had a caretaker named Roger. Well.. one day he went into the boiler room to do something and when he came back he went back in our old headteacher, Mrs Hurst’s, office. The next day Mrs Hurst announced that Roger didn’t want to work here. And we never seen him since.” Okay..” we all said and we walked away. “I don’t think she is telling the truth,” I said as I saw miss Ania looking at the door. “Why not?” Mkenna asked. “Well, I don’t know.” Mellisa put her arm around me and laughed. “Come on, why would a teacher lie to us?!” “To keep us away from something,” I answered.

To be continued..

Mr Lyford Gave Us A Meteorite Sample From A Moon Or Star And we looked and studied it carefully with magnifying glasses. We Identified that it smelt  just like iron and we noticed that it was very heavy and cold. Also we found that there were a few red/orange bits on it like metal when its rusted. It was very heavy like metal or iron. It had white specs in and some bits were magnetic.

There was one metioroite called stony-Iron, that suited it because it looked like bits of stone and iron. Also there was some pure iron. Some of the stones had glass in it,little bits of it. It was very interesting. Also it was very small and was in plastic so it didn’t get lost. I thought stony-iron was a very weird name. It had some orange in it as well.

I think the breccia is a meteorite that it may look black but it has white spots around it and its a small rock and it is made out of little pieces of rock.

There was a bit like plastic. Although it smelled of nothing. It looked clear but had orange bits in it.Then we also had another rock. It looked brownish black and it had grey-y white bits inside it also.It had orange in it and it looked cracked. There was one that looked blackish brown but had hints of red inside. It looked like it had bubbles in it. There was one the same colour but it was really shiny. The other one was really flat and smelled like metal.

BRECCIA: it has a very dark colour ( jet black ) most likely a volcanic rock. It has some kind of white crystal substance on it. This rock has a light grey (stony) colour in the middle.

LIBYAAN DESERT GLASS: This particular solid piece of glass has two different colours the top half is smooth with only one base colour (sandy). The bottom half is much darker with many orange dots, main colour (black sandy). It’s most likely to be a type of desert sand that has been burned from the sun forming glass.

PALLASITE SECTION: This solid seems to have some type of metal on it (most likely iron or silver). Its main colour is a (brown) colour with bits of (orange). On one side you can see an orange gold colour most likely burned from the sun.

NWA 5950: It has a (jet black) colour with a feeling of “slate”. In the middle there is a (very dark brown) colour.

CAMPO DEL CIELO: This solid is probably some kind of metal because it is attracted to magnets. It has a (black) colour with a (silver) outline. It was probably (silver) before it got (black). I think this because it has a (silver) outline. It has a rough and bumpy surface while being very heavy.

  1.  A Argentinian meteorite is like iron smells like it and is cold and very rough. It is from a broken moon or planet .
  2. Lots of  Meteorite and moonstones. rocks some of them are metallic and
  3. Libyan desert glass is probably made of some sort of sand but feels and looks like plastic some of us are still having a debate on weather its glass or plastic
  4. A Pallasite section is patterned like a giraffe with silver and dark brown colours, looks like amber .
  5. A rock which feels like freshly made caramel and others that have been cut and polished so you can see in side.

It was the final battle between robot and robot. Metalfists slammed his hand into R-rex’s jaw and it cracked. Bolts flew everywhere. R-rex opened his enormous jaws and gobbled MF. Suddenly R-rex exploded into millions of bits and bobs. MF had won.

They were left with four friends and two guards. They found an old enclosure. The spinosaurus stuck its massive claws through the bars and gripped one of the guards and pulled him out into the fog. They ran into a small jungle. Suddenly flying reptiles swooped down and grabbed the last guard.

They ran through a pond only to see giant sarcasucasis (12 meter long crocodiles) snapping at are feet. There jaws crashed over one person and dragged him into the water as they ran out of the enclosure just in time. They got back to the air port with raptors on there tail.

The raptors ran round the side of the base picking off the guards. A man stood by the plane telling us to get on. The spinosaurus crashed through the gate and stomped up to the plane. It bit the plane as they got on. Two of them fell out but grabbed the handle bar that led up the stairs to the plane. The plane took off and spun around to face the other way. The creatures teeth gripped the plane with its claws now.

They ran down the plane as it took off. Luckily the planes propeller went into the side of the creature and it ran off. They made it home safely and never went to D-islands expeditions again.

Inside Mayford Manor Isn’t Much better, when Mum And Dad said the walls were pure gold, I think they ment mould. Mould That absolutely reeks. I almost cried when I saw my bedroom. Mum said that we could fix it up, no worries, slap some paint here and there, new bedsheets and curtains and it would be ready in no time. Woohoo. I’m ecstatic. ¬†But I’m not sure you can fix a half made chest of drawers, curtains as thin as cobwebs and a bed so dusty that Im pretty sure I wont be able to breathe, even with dads mechanical skills. Oh yeah, and it smells like something died in here. Literally. My Little brother (Jake) suddenly barges in and instantly pinches his nose. ”What died in here” He asks. ¬† ¬† ”It smells WORSE then Mouldy cheese.” “Told you” I cough. Mum glares. “There is absolutely nothing wrong with the smell” Mum Declares. I sigh, there’s no arguing with mum when she’s like this. ” Now Go Get some paint, it should be in the moving van, at the back” She Shoos me off.

At the bus stop,

As the rain pours down.

Huddled under the shelter,

For the bus to come.

For home,

For sunshine,

For a miracle.

Like I always do,

Like everyone does.

Knowing it will never happen,

For this endless rain to stop.

Waiting- a different kind

Here I am. Again. Everyday I wander into school, spend a day full of daydreaming, algebra and corn laws. I immediately forget it at hometime. I walk to this bus stop with Iris and Kish, wave goodbye, and sit down. As usual, it’s raining. But today, as I walk to the bus stop, something unusual happens. The clouds turn blue. And I’m no where near home – the bus isn’t coming.

Ok, I guess I needed to explain a little further. My name is Sophie and I have a little sister called Naomi. Scrap that. Why would you need to know my little sister’s name? Or even that I have a little sister? Anyway, I live in London, and¬†it has not stopped raining for 14 years. My lifetime. I haven’t ever seen sunshine. Our weather forecast includes: drizzling, light rain,¬† rain and heavy rain.¬† However, when the blue clouds come, there’s trouble. Last time the blue clouds came, the government issued a warning leaflet. It read as follows:

  • Lock your doors. Do not go back outside until the blue clouds have gone
  • Move all valuables upstairs.
  • Take enough food to last you two months

Go upstairs. Do not come down until the flooding has ceased.

I was seven, and Naomi was two. Dad was away, and we followed the instructions. At three fifty four¬†pm on August the 30th the flooding started. Literally, the only thing you could do downstairs was swim. It lasted ¬†two months and seven days. Afterwards, I remarked how it had began exactly on my birthday. I was born on August the 30th at¬†three fifty four pm. “Chance timing”¬†my Mum snapped.

I looked down at my watch. Surely not…. it’s three fifty four pm. And today’s my birthday. Already I can see the¬†ocean-like clouds, full to bursting of¬†rain, gathering. No-one will want me now. They will have close their doors, their windows in order to stay safe.¬†They won’t let me in.¬†So I break into a run. I head for Kings Cross Station.

“Henry I’ve got a surprise for you”. Henry came rushing down the stairs to see his brother and his four friends standing there with all there passports including his in there hands. There was a leaflet saying¬†“D ISLANDS a fantastic adventure with strange creatures called…”. At this point Henry had predicted that he was¬†going¬†to¬†some¬†kind of island with animals most likely sea creatures or insects because it clearly said strange creatures.

On the plane they ate lots of crisps and could not hold there excitement. Six friends on an island expedition with animals. The air port was very heavily guarded. They were accompanied by four guards holding tranquilizer guns and heavy body armour. They walked out a gate into a forest filled with tropical plants, trees and veins. They were given tracing devices and large backpacks  filled with water, food and blankets. This was not what they expected.

They reached a cliff and¬†looked over it only to see a heard of braceosaurs. It was an amazing view. Suddenly an enormous creature with a spine on its back and a long crocodile jaw, it could only be one thing… a spinosaurus. Its gigantic hind legs slammed the ground sending earthquakes through the dirt and stone making the ten people tremble. The creature bit the other dinosaur. It suddenly spotted us and ran up the hill that led up the cliff.

It snapped his jaws over one of the guards. They all split up into pairs and ran round. 9 to 8 to 7 to 6. people were disappearing fast.

Mr Bull pointed to the inside of the grey, school building¬†and waited until we had all gone through the big black door. Carefully, he inspected us, whilst we were walking through. If a shoe lace were untied, he would thrust the poor child aside, the child awaiting his long lecture on presentation. Then I remembered, I hadn’t tied my shoelace! I closed my eyes and waited for his cold bony hand. Instead I heard Mr Bull shouting ” WELL WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!” His spit showering my face. Confused, I joined the line and found myself in a class room. Mr Bull hadn’t noticed.

All through the school day, Lexa continued to be mean, I didn’t care . Mrs Bubblegum protected me. She wanted to be mean but, she couldn’t. Because Mrs Bubblegum had told all of the teachers that we don’t get along. All of the teachers have their eye on her¬† so she had a million eyes on her all of the time. Now things would be better. Or at least at school…

The rest of this story is based on a true story. Dad came and picked me and Emerald up from school. Emerald¬†is my little sister.¬†She went¬†hopping and skipping,¬†whilst I walked behind her.¬† My Dad opened the door of our home. There was a weird note on the table. ”What does it say, Dad.” Said my little sister, curiously.¬†”Oh¬†god.” Said my¬†Dad ¬†in surprise. My Mum usually would tell us off for saying God like that. But she wasn’t here. ”Mum’s in hospital.” He whispered. I felt a pang. Of something. I don’t know what it is. Standing there completely, transfixed onto the note. I watched as Dad ran to the hospital. I went to my room to cry, what was wrong with her. I didn’t hear my Dad come through the door. I had gotten out of my school uniform and into one of my best summer dresses, and sandals.

My sister had done the same, surprisingly my brother had too. Although he wore shorts and trainers. We did not need Dad to tell us. We were going to visit Mum. Everyone was silent, as we loaded the bus, to the hospital. In my hand bag I had packed a water bottle, as it was summer, I needed something to drink. And a note book. Dad quickly led us down corridors and up flights and flights of stairs. As we were going through a corridor, a friendly nurse who was bustling up and down corridors as well, Said, in a jolly voice, ” Well it seems to be hot out there, you all in your summer-y outfits!”¬†I politely smiled, even though I didn’t feel like smiling. She was right though, it was stifling hot out there.¬†Then I saw, the wards. ”Right look for ‘Hunter Ward.’ On south block.” Said Dad, with a hint of fear in his voice. I saw an arrow, it read ‘Hunter ward, here. ‘ ”Found it,” I exclaimed. As we went past the other wards, it was well scary. I could see the cancer unit, and the meningitis unit. These poor ladies had suffered a lot. Ladies. That was another sign that we were going to the right place.¬† Some of the ladies smiled, they seemed to like children. Then there it was, ‘Hunter Ward.’ There was my Mum.

She didn’t look like my Mum anymore, she had tubes coming out of her back. ”Mum?” I whispered. She smiled at us, she was our Mum, but she looked sick. Her brown skin was paler than usual, her black¬†hair sticking out in fluffy clumps. I gave her a big hug, and I asked her if she needed anything. She wanted us to bring her some things, essentials, like her own tooth brush, she had the disposable plastic ones for now, from the hospital, but she wanted her own one. She also wanted other things like clothes and food. ”Hospital food isn’t that nice, ”she claimed. She wanted pyjamas¬† too. She was wearing this awful, hospital nightgown that had no back. It was getting late so after a couple of hours, we went back home. I didn’t really want to go, but. I had to. So we went home. It was ok, we went to a couple of memorable places, like ‘Father son road’ And that was where my Dad took his first photo of him and my little brother. He said it was perfect because it was father and son, together, like the road name. We also visited, a park where my brother climbed up his first statue.

I woke up, in my soft duvet. Yawning I realised it was another day of school. Oh school. Oh school. Why did I have to go. I must face my worst enemy, Lexa . Oh well. Still, I jump out of bed, as I have to see her sniggering face each day, can you believe her? But anyways I don’t care about Lexa, I have my own problems. I get dressed, brush my teeth, have breakfast, the usual, and head off to school. There is Lexa, she pulls a nasty face at me, I pull one back then she says a very rude word. I¬†smirk at her and say ” Do you think¬†I care, Lexa.” ” Course you do, hanging around with that ugly cockroach of yours,” She teases. I quickly filter through a mad mess of memories in my head to check what she might be referring to. I can’t seem to find anything. ”What cockroach?” I ask, hoping she hadn’t somehow caught a glimpse of Mya-my fluffy seal, she is a toy obviously. ”Your ugly seal.” She says with her big green eyes brimming with revenge. I listen in total horror. ”Mya?” I squeal. ”Mya, you hear that, that’s the things name!” She squeaks,¬†bursting with laughter.¬†Immediately, I could feel my cheeks flushing red and¬†I could hear the ¬†roar of laughter in the playground.

”WHAT’S GOING ON!” Roared, Mr Bull instead. ”Why aren’t you in SCHOOL! It’s past eight am!” There was no more roar, from Mr Bull, or the playground. Everyone was silent. ”Go on then.” Said Mr Bull, sarcastically. ”What’s so funny, I want to know, I would like to have a good laugh too.” He¬† started to make him self comfy. This wasn’t a good sign. He had a smirk on his face. Suddenly, Jay stood up. She was the youngest in the juniors as she was so smart she was in year 3 when she was supposed to be in year 2.¬† ”Um, Mr Bull, sir, um, Lexa, was just telling¬†that Diamond, had a teddy.” Jay declared proudly. Mr Bull’s face flushed with red hot bubbling anger, ” IS THAT A LAUGHING MATTER! He shouted so loud, it felt as the school was going to fall down. ”No.” Jay¬† said in a tiny voice. ”Do I need you to IMPROVISE!” He screamed¬†into Jay’s face.”No.” She squeaked again. ”STOP IT!” He screamed.

All I can say is SAVE ME.

What happened today was¬† totally a day I want¬† forget. I have no words to describe, well that’s not exactly true. Today was absolutely awkward.¬†It all started in the morning.

I went off to school, as usual, I got to school, totally¬†normal,¬†assembly not normal! The Head stood up on the raised platform and spoke, not at all loud enough for us to hear, “Todays special guest is …”

My mouth dropped open because there on the stage was my mum all powdered up in her best blusher, which she only wore for very special occasions. Right at that point would have been the best time for a scientist to come up¬† with an invisible cloak. I felt so ashamed when she waved her manicured hand in my direction, I didn’t want to look at her so I just shrank down in my chair hoping that against all hopes¬† some great miracle¬† would occur.

They wrapped there metallic arms around people and put them in cages stalled at the back of the robot. They made loud ear piercing¬†sounds that sounded like this “bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”¬†The people quickly fled in a hurry to get to Boston which wasn’t invaded by aliens. Suddenly a massive dust cloud¬†came and killed every one.

My dad died before my¬†6th birthday and a few weeks later my mum had my brother, Leo. My mum was struggling so she married my stepdad, Peter. After that EVERYTHING changed. All because of my stepdad. We moved to the city and had to throw away everything we had of dad’s. I moved to a different school and my mum and Peter went on about 100 dates.

The creatures bloody jaws clamped tight on my leg. It was Gor-rex the zombie raptor. Its bulky hind-legs smashed on the ground as it ran after a chariot. The creature bit into one of the horses backs and teared a clump of flesh out of it. This creature had no lips so you could see gums, blood and nerves. The horse fell over leaving a broken chariot. Small flies raced round the dead horse eating it bit by bit. As I limped towards the mess Warren ran towards the creature with a battle-axe and cut open his belly. Guts ran out as the monster screamed. Its elf ears went up when it heard a squeezing sound which was its stomach falling out. It suddenly fell to the ground and died. Its bloody jaws opened and a long tongue fell out. It was dead.

My teacher the alien Part 2

“Eve, pass me the toadstools,” Major Glen said.

“Sure thing,” I replied.

My name is Eve. I ‘ve lived in Cent (the name of the world I live in) my whole life. Apparently. Major Glen told me I have, but although centaurs are¬†wise, magical and kind, they are also pathological liars. See I can only remember¬†the past 5 years. Major Glen said this was because I was adopted by fairies, but I can’t remember it because when I came out they were worried that I would try and find them again so they cast a memory spell on me. Hmm.

“Do you know about The Room Of Doors?” questioned Major Glen abruptly. “Sure I do. Massive room with millions of doors, all¬†portals to other worlds. ” I replied. I had found this out from Centaur Glade-the only centaur I know¬†who¬†doesn’t lie. “Well… our door is appearing in that room,” he¬† said ¬†uncomfortably, “And you are not going through. “.¬†I stare at him, too shocked to speak. “But…. All my life I’ve been waiting, to go to the Land Of Knowledge, waiting all my life, to find out who my parents are and now you say I can’t go.¬†“I said, my voice quiet.¬† Major Glen bit his lip.¬†“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”someone screamed. Where had I heard that scream before?¬†Then, a¬†dirty, dishevelled girl landed in front of me. “Ah, my head.” she moaned. “Laura,” I whispered.¬† “How did you know her name? ” snarled Major Glen. “I don’t, ” I said, even more confused, “I’ve never seen her before.” “Eve, it’s you!” cried Laura. “What the…? How do you know my name?” I asked, befuddled. But before she could answer, we heard a faint¬†rumble in the distant. We all strained our eyes to look. Then a countless army of aliens came marching over the hill. I know they were aliens because they were bright green with 4 eyes each, two heads, 8 arms and 36 hand on every arm. Major Glen went pale. Laura went paler. I just got more, and more, and more confused. However, when we looked behind us, an small¬†army of centaurs had gathered opposite us. We were in between them.

The battle that followed was¬† evil. 2,000,000 centaurs verses 90,000,000 aliens. The centaurs stood no chance. Laura and I were taken prisoner.¬†The aliens had been Laura’s¬† gaoler¬†before she escaped. “Whatever you do, don’t annoy them. They are savage and don’t know the meaning of mercy. “she warned. “Oy,you! Get in the boat!” yelled one alien and we did. We don’t dare to disobey the Nararts(pronounced Nar-rats and the name of the alien invaders).

The journey¬†is horrid. The Narats have no patience, no¬† love, no sympathy. We are doomed. “Eve, where were you these last 5 years. “asked Laura, almost accusingly. “At home. Where else would I be? And why would you care? Who are you? ” I¬†answered, my voice getting higher each question. “You weren’t at home. I was. Maddie misses you like nobody’s business. Elsie remembers you. She asks everyone where you are. Your parents won’t be the same until¬† you get home. Plus, why the heck are you asking me who I am and why I care? You know me.” she says quietly, her eyes never leaving my face. But before I can¬†tell her¬†that I’ve never known her, who is Elsie, who is Maddie, who are my¬† parents, her face goes grey.¬† “You’ve forgotten haven’t you? You don’t remember me, or anyone else. What about Miss Granite? Do you remember her?” Laura questioned. At the mention of Miss Granite, I turn and spit. I don’t know why. “Tell me about them. Tell me who I am” I croak, my throat suddenly dry. So she does. And by the end of it, I know who I am, and why I spat at Miss Granite’s name. I feel good. “Now, tell me, if you were on Earth, how come you were the Narats prisoner?” I ask. “Do you really want to know? Because the truth is…¬† well, ugly.” she says miserably. “Tell. “I say firmly.

monster legends [war of scorcher]

The beast grabbed me with his giant crab claws and his scorpion tale rose in the air. It was scorcher the giant crab scorpion. His 6 legs pushed him in the air. Suddenly Warren ran in to the castle ruins and cut off one of his yellowish green legs. Blue blood went every where. I took this time to bring out my dagger and stab his pincer that was holding me, but it was too tight. Warrens sword shattered when he tried to cut his back. The creature let go of me as he cried in agony. I quickly grabbed my dagger and stabbed him a dozen times in the eye. Blood spilled out as the creatures tale tried to stab me with its giant spike. Warren got out a battle axe and cut part of scorchers shell of. Its tale went round destroying any left over castle. Bricks flew everywhere as we ducked down dodging any falling parts. I then jumped of a small tower and stabbed it through the head leaving blood dripping from his jaws. He was dead.

I thought things could not get worse but how wrong I was.¬†Once I had been sent to the Principal’s office I¬†got¬†a seriously good talking to. Not a great start to Secondary school.

The next thing I know Matt Finch walked round the corner.¬†He was a popular Year 7 who had come to my Primary where we had¬†best friends ¬†for 1 second then he had simply just disappeared¬† after the Christmas holidays.¬†When we got to our new school we both freaked out to find out we¬† were going to the same secondary school. I thought we would click, like we did in primary but instead he seemed to run to the other side of the school when I came near him.He did this now as I came out of the Principal’s office. Matt¬†raced ¬†back round the corner he had just come from before I even had a chance to say hi.

At lunch, I sat with Kat and we chatted about what had go wrong with me and Matt.

” I just don’t understand it” I said.

” Neither do I, you two were like best buds” Kat murmured.

Have a go. When you have finished record your typing speed, number of errors and calculated speed in your jotter.

Then your partner takes the test and records their results. Do not help or distract them. Then both do the test again and see if you do better (or worse!)

When you have both done the test twice – please put both of your results on the blog in comments.

We will leave this link on the blog for you to practice whenever you like.

There was once a warrior named Dovakin that was unmatched in combat preferring big medieval weapons like war hammers so he could charge into a fight and crush his opponents with ease. Soon after fighting people his size he became a bit bloodthirsty and starting fighting mammoths, giants, bears, sabre tooth tigers and anything or anyone bigger than him, but was most known for his ability to speak to and control dragons which led to him become extremely hungry for blood and started hunting dragons. However the one creature he did not know about was demons. They eventually got tired of his blood drunken rage and cursed him. The demons turned Dovakin into a werewolf he soon lost himself in rage although before he could hurt any one he locked himself away and took his anger out on the furniture in his cell. He wasted away died from starvation but kept himself hydrated by drinking his own blood just to keep himself alive for that little longer but finally he died many many years ago.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Tat is the legend of Dovakin.

”Mum?” I questioned. She stared back at me in her shortest skirt and her, well topless top, it was only a crop-top. ”What?” she asked. ”Well…why are you dressed like that, your not going out, are you?” I said nearly in tears. ” No!” She exclaimed, ”Well perhaps I was going out just for a little while, just a bit , whilst you and Zuri were…asleep. ” She bit her lip nervously. ”Its alright… its just an hour when you’ve gone to bed, please.” ”No. No Mum no, it’s not alright. You always act that its ‘OK’ but its not, no you can’t just leave us like you used to do.” I whined ,trying not to cry and in my calmest voice possible. ” You promised you would be a better Mum, Mum. You promised.” Mum picked up Zuri and sighed , she bit her lip and couldn’t look me straight in the eye. ”I did, didn’t I.” She whispered. ”Ok I’m , sorry.” ¬†Everything then was ¬†suddenly was happening so quickly. Mum ,me and Zuri went to bed and………

It was pitch black and I opened my eyes. Zuri was snoring in the bed beside me. I had a feeling a that something wasn’t quite right. Something was wrong, there was a eerie sensation in the house, I could feel it. My breath panicky, I pounded to my Mum’s room. Opening the door I squeaked,” Mum?”¬†It was so dark I couldn’t see a thing, I called her again. No response.’ It’s ok.’ I thought ‘Mum is a heavy sleeper, of course she can’t hear you.’ I thought again. My legs and arms shook as I searched the bed…..

and when its time to leave at the end of year 6

I’ll never forget the memories that I missed.

Mrs Whiteway has been the best

always there for me throughout the year

I can’t leave this school without shedding a tear.

Mr Lyford has been great too

always making me laugh or smile

and I will miss him loads as

I will be gone more than a mile.

I’m dreading the day that will be the last,

as I will miss everyone who will be in my past.
